The team at OSLO PILOT welcomes you to our Kick Off Party on Friday 11 September. Join us at our PROJECT ROOM by Central Station as we reveal our future plans, intentions and programmes. To coincide with Oslo Kulturnatt, Nordic Black Theatre and X-Ray Youth Culture will occupy the PROJECT ROOM with a series of interventions and performances. Featured artists include Omar & Fade, Young Cisto, Rebelz, Temur & Wagas, with tunes and good vibes provided by DJ Morty B.
OSLO PILOT is a two-year experimental, research-based project curated by Eva González-Sancho and Per Gunnar Eeg-Tverbakk intent on laying the ground for a future art-in-public-space event.
The project is underpinned by a reflection on time. How to intervene in unprotected public spaces that are subject to constant change? How to operate in precarious spaces by embracing uncertainty rather than opposing it? How to make art within the shifting context of the city and the public domain that explores and challenges ideas of permanence and the ephemeral?
Part production house, part research station, the PROJECT ROOM hosts our growing collection of archival material and is also the site of an ongoing programme of public encounters. Working closely with artists, art institutions and specialists from other disciplines, OSLO PILOT will initiate symposiums, publish its own magazine and oversee the production of artworks in public spaces and in the public domain.
